This is a sad day in my life. I have been watching "Guiding Light" since 1982. I have had times when my viewing has lapsed, but just recently started watching with a renewed interest.
As I was watching "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (I love him - much better than Letterman), he said that "Guiding Light" was cancelled. So, I looked it up and much to my chagrin, it's all true!!!
I have to go mourn my loss now. :(

I had a Days of Our Lives stint in college, but I haven't been able to stomach soaps since then. Must be my exhilerating love life.

same here - I recently noticed Luke and Laura are still on GH - shouldn't they be dead by now? They were grown ups when I was in high school, weren't they? And Kathrine from the Young and the Restless - she must be 102.
Yawn!
