It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

We went to the annual Kinder- garten pumpkin patch field trip on the Friday before our track off. As expected, being with a bunch of 5 and6 year olds, it was crazy, but a lot of fun. The children in our group were very interested in the corn, grass and leaves. Not sure what is so interesting about leaves and grass, but beggers can't be choosers, now can we.

Lindsey had a wonderful time. About half way through the day, the kids got worn out and tired of us asking pointed questions such as, "What signs of Fall do you see?", "What do you hear?", and "What do you think lives here?".

We saw the movie "Pumpkin Circle" and went to the pumpkin patch. The kids loved it.

Yep, BEARS back in '02. Luckily the teacher spotted him first and we quietly tip-toed back to a safe distance. Kindies and quiet don't always go hand in hand.

Not as much excitement when I went with Thing Two...which was fine by me. It was his teacher's 2nd day on the job: I don't think she'd have coped as well as Thing One's teacher did. She struggled with managing routine. Can't imagine her handling "bear danger".

No bears, or beavers. The beaver was illegally trapped last year (I think). Anyway, the path was the "road less traveled". When we went two years ago, everyone went back there, this year I think we were the only ones to venture that far. I was afraid that we might see some wildlife bigger than a butterfly, but we didn't. Lindsey can pose for a camera, she was actually a pill all day!!!
